Before having children I lived in New Zealand where I worked in communications both in the public and private sector. After baby number two was born and we moved cities and later across the ditch to Adelaide, South Australia, I decided I’d tell people I was on ‘eternity leave’ (I still think it has a nice ring to it).
Packing up all our worldly possessions and moving to Adelaide, South Australia, with two small children and one on the way, I quickly realised that I was in at the deep end, without any family or friends around to share the joys and the frustrations of parenting with.
Luckily for us, Adelaide is incredibly family-friendly and we ended up finding that there were a lot of supportive factors here for us. So much so that five years after landing in Adelaide we added baby number four to the ‘brood’.
Shortly afterwards I got a job working at Play & Go Adelaide – the very same website I had been referring to for those all-important questions like which playground to take my toddler to, where to go for a family-friendly meal, and what’s on this weekend.
I enjoy getting out and about in Adelaide with my husband and children exploring new locations, trying out new restaurants and wineries, and getting along to some of the many fabulous events on offer.
Thanks for joining me!
